About TheWING

Air Force Intelligence Platform, TheWing.ai

Built from military experience. Engineered for military decisions.

TheWing.ai was created to help service members, veterans and military families make sense of complicated decisions involving pay, career, readiness, benefits, PCS, housing and financial planning.

Our goal is simple: bring the numbers, tools and context together so military families can make important decisions with greater clarity.

Our Vision | Our Mission

Our mission is to build technology that helps military members and their families make consequential decisions with clearer information, better context and fewer surprises. We are not trying to replace official military resources, lenders, financial professionals or government agencies. We are building the intelligence layer that helps users understand the information those decisions depend on.

TheWing began with a problem familiar to many military families: important decisions are often spread across different regulations, calculators, government websites, financial tools and local resources. A PCS move may involve changes in BAH, housing costs, commute times, family needs, mortgage affordability and long-term financial plans—all at the same time. Yet those decisions are usually evaluated separately.

TheWing was built to connect them. What began with PCSUnited and military relocation tools evolved into a broader military decision intelligence platform designed to support decisions across career, readiness, compensation, benefits, housing and personal finance.

Military life is
interconnected

A military decision rarely affects only one part of life. A promotion changes compensation. Compensation changes housing options. PCS orders can change cost of living, schools, commute and family finances. Retirement and VA benefits can reshape long-term planning. TheWing exists to help users understand those connections rather than treating every calculation as an isolated answer.

Military Decision
Intelligence

TheWing.ai combines deterministic calculators, structured military data, financial modeling, decision rules and conversational guidance. The platform is designed to calculate first and explain second. TheWing’s calculation engines produce the numbers. Amy helps users understand what those numbers mean for the decision they are trying to make.

TheWing calculates.
Amy explains.

TheWing uses defined formulas and structured data to calculate compensation, mortgage scenarios, affordability and other decision metrics. Amy receives available results and turns them into a conversation. She can explain a result, identify missing information, compare trade-offs and guide users toward an application or next step. The calculation remains separate from the explanation.

PCSUnited, powered by
TheWing

PCSUnited is TheWing’s military relocation and housing experience. It applies TheWing’s calculation and decision intelligence to PCS moves, military compensation, base research, housing affordability and home-buying readiness. PCSUnited helps answer the relocation question. TheWing provides the intelligence behind the decision.

Continuing my Commitment to Service

TheWing was founded by Josue Orozco, a retired Air Force veteran whose background brings together military service, technology, real estate and business analytics.
‍
Military experience provided the insight and perspective behind the platform: families routinely make consequential decisions under time pressure, often using fragmented information from multiple systems to make life choices.
‍
This Graduate Studies from both Duke and Johns Hopkins propelled his ambition to create more a platforms with calculator, but instead create a decision model based on quantitative data and grounded on facts.
‍
TheWing was created to make those decisions easier to understand. Josue’s approach is to understand the problem, examine the data and build tools that help military members and their families consider their options with clearer information.

Quantitative Management & Business Analytics

Partnership with the Cohort from the presitigious Fuqua School of Business in Duke University first step in realizing this platform. For TheWing to succeed it must be grounded in Truth and defendible with mathematical formulas.

Graduate study in quantitative management and business analytics through Duke's MSQM program helped shape the analytical foundation behind TheWing's decision based model.

That background informs a central principle: artificial intelligence should help people understand complex information while calculation code produces the underlying results. TheWing develops its own software and planning rules; Amy provides the conversational explanation. This educational background does not imply that Duke University or Fuqua created, endorsed, certified, validated or partnered with TheWing.

Designed as a system, not a collection of calculators

Individual calculators are only the beginning. TheWing is being developed as a connected intelligence system in which compensation, career, benefits, housing, PCS and financial information can contribute to a broader understanding of the user’s situation.

A mortgage payment can become part of a larger decision model alongside military compensation, BAH, monthly obligations and savings. Connecting more of that context—including PCS timelines and financial readiness across tools—is part of the platform’s ongoing development.

Better information. Better decisions.

Military life already comes with enough uncertainty. TheWing exists to make the numbers easier to understand, the options easier to compare and the next decision easier to navigate.
